"10-04-06 Appearance: Gold.
Nose: The 9% Geisenheim in this blend is sufficient to add gewurzy lychee and rose petal notes, but the vidal honey, spice and peaches is also there. Nice complexity.
Palate: Sweet with good acidity, mid to heavyweight. Flavours are more intense than the palate, with the muscaty/gewurzlike notes of the Geisenheim again overpowering the flavours as advertised by the vidal. Wine is beautifully balanced (acid/sugar/alcohol/fruit) and has a very good long clean finish.
Conclusions: Another great icewine from the Chapelle, well capable of five to ten years in a good cellar. An excuse for a celebration..." lfw
