"DATE: 01-01-08 Appearance: Deep ruby/purple.
Nose: Plum, cherry, cassis, light chocolate, sweet oak and a pleasant herbal note.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Nicely maturing flavours on a seamlessly integrated midpalate, great acid/fruit/alcohol/tannin/sugar balance. Ripe tannins and silky mouthfeel lead to a good clean long finish.
Conclusions: Another very good example of why Ontario should not abandon the hybrid varieties, this wine is great value. Still has up to five years in front of it, with great food utility. This would also be a very dangerous wine near a bbq on a summer day." lfw
