"DATE: 01-01-08 Appearance: Ruby.
Nose: Peppers, raspberry, light spicy oak, light dark chocolate and a light herbal quality.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Palate is bigger than the nose suggests, with goodly ripe tannins dominating the midpalate and extending into the long clean dry finish at this point.
Conclusions: I suspect that this cab franc is in a "dumb" phase, which often happens to high quality cab franc and pinot noir wines at this stage of maturity. It should develop nicely over the next two years and last another five. Best right now with rare red meats." lfw
