"DATE: 05-11-09 tasted during 2009 All Canadian Wine Awards Judging Appearance: Purple.
Nose: Light cherry and sweet oak with herbal and spicy nuances.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Palate follows the nose. Raspberry shows on the midpalate. Good clean dry finish.
Conclusions: D'Angelo Old Vines Foch is almost always one of the best in Ontario, usually pretty good value for those who like the grape. They are softer than many, and age quite well. This one is still at the food usage stage, but in another year or two it will soften and then go a further five or six years in a more interesting incarnation." lfw
