"DATE: 08-13-08 Appearance: Deep ruby almost purple.
Nose: Intense cassis with a backdrop of floral and herbal tones.
Palate: Sweet with very good acidity, heavyweight. Palate nicely follows the nose, midpalate is rich almost fat and the finish is very long, sweet and clean.
Conclusions: Huge cassis dessert wine that should hold twenty years at need, but is good right now. Big in every way, at its best in small doses, served lightly chilled, as dessert. Would also work with very flavourful desserts, but could easily overpower most foods. Try a half ounce of this tossed with a fresh garden salad for a unique dining experience. Excellent value." lfw
