"DATE: 08-17-07 Appearance: Light straw.
Nose: Gooseberry of course, but it is nice to say that something else smells somewhat like Sauvignon Blanc, which this does (Loire-ish not New Zealand).
Palate: Dry with moderate to good acidity, midweight. Palate nicely follows the nose, adding an herbal character midpalate, and leading to a long clean and slightly spicy finish.
Conclusions: This could easily be mistaken for white grape wine, and would go with a wide range of the usual suspects. Do not overchill, as doing so would hide the pleasant character (assuming you like the character of gooseberries!). Not for long keeping, but would probably be okay for another year or two." lfw
