"DATE: 04-15-07 Appearance: Ruby with brick, maturing colour.
Nose: Rich mature sweet cherry/beet/raspberry aromatics go with spicy tones and sweet oak.
Palate: Dry with moderate acidity, midweight. Add some earthiness midpalate and some ripe tannins from the midpalate on to the flavours promised by the nose. Good long clean finish.
Conclusions: Maturing pinot may have another two years in front of it, but is quite ready to go now. Would work well with medium and well-done dishes, or by itself. Good value in mature pinot." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Carefully selected vines planted in the shelter of Lake Ontario release all of the fresh red fruit on the nose with hints of sour cherry, cranberry, raspberry and vanilla characters one would expect from a cool-climate Pinot Noir. This wine will complement pork loin, turkey with cranberry sauce and mild seafood dishes."
