LARDY'S WINETASTING NOTES Dry Fruity White Wine
2006 Chardonnay Unoaked
Tech Information: 08-13-07 $ 11.95 (S: 0 A: 12.5) Winery

"DATE: 08-24-07 Appearance: Light straw.
Nose: Peach/pear/apple with a mineral quality and light butter.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Palate nicely follows the nose, with a rich soft midpalate, and a long clean finish showing a little bit of warmth.
Conclusions: Good value straightforward chard for house wine usage. Very useful at the table due to a fruity acid balance, this will also age well for three or four years, turning into a fuller, more complex wine." lfw
FOOD MATCHES: Chef Franklin said "light and easy, could get the ABC club back into chardonnay, this is the reason why these grapes go into steel tanks. An anytime wine with most white meats or a nice room temperature brie with salted hazelnuts and almonds."
