LARDY'S WINETASTING NOTES Medium Bodied Red Wine
2005 Ridge Red
Tech Information: 12-04-07 $ 12.95 (S: 0 A: 12) Winery

"DATE: 12-31-07 Appearance: Deep purple with a mahogany halo.
Nose: Cranberry/blueberry, red currants, spicy oak, cherry and bits of dark chocolate with a pleasant herbal undertone.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Big palate follows the very interesting nose, silky and soft midpalate, good clean finish.
Conclusions: Quite a tasty blend, hate to guess how well it will age past about three years, but it is very nice right now. Nicely balanced and generally food friendly, this would be dangerous on the patio by the BBQ on a hot summer day." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Erie Shore Vineyard 50/50 blend of Baco Noir and Chambourcin. Full bodied character of Baco Noir, softened by the fruitiness of Chambourcin. Matched with grilled or roast red meats, lamb, dark poultry, pizza, tomato based pasta's, and cheeses."
