"DATE: 04-14-07 Appearance: Pale lemon.
Nose: White grapefruit, sweet melon, butter and light spices.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Pear/peach added midpalate, good mouthfeel, nice acid/fruit/alcohol balance, long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Very young unoaked chard is lovely now for its youthful freshness, and would be excellent summer 2007 in social, picnic/outdoor situations, or with the usual white meat suspects. Yet give this two years in a good cellar and complexity will evolve, with bigger flavours and aromatics, becoming a very interesting wine. Worth the wait at this price." lfw
