"DATE: 04-14-07 Appearance: Light straw.
Nose: Good lychee, rose petal, spiciness, typical gewurz.
Palate: Dry with moderate acidity, midweight plus. Fruit-driven (peach, apricot, pineapple, lychee, lemon) but also showing spicy character and minerality midpalate. Long clean finish shows the oily character and attractive bitterness that you get from a decently concentrated gewurz.
Conclusions: Very good dry gewurz has enough substance to last a few years, but perhaps not enough acidity. Not an over-the-top type of gewurz, but an elegantly balanced show. Should go five years, might go eight." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"This wine has everything going for it - intense perfumed rosewater aromas, a little spice (licorice and lavender) and zesty, grapefruit freshness. Because it is dry, it pairs well with a variety of foods and is best enjoyed with Asian dishes, vegetarian entrees or roast chicken. Great also as an aperitif, chill lightly and take to parties."
