"DATE: 11-21-08 Appearance: Ruby.
Nose: Ripe peppers, plum, cherry, strawberry, spicy oak and a pleasant herbal character.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Palate nicely follows the nose, with great ripe fruit. Rich mouthfeel, big ripe tannins, with a bit of silkiness developing on the long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Great flavourful merlot should go another six or seven years, with secondary flavours developing within a couple of years. Best now with a medium rare red meat dish, but will be good by the fireplace on a cold night in 2011." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Aged in American oak for 14 months, this wine is liquid velvet in a glass. Decant the wine, pour a few cocktails and treat yourself. Seductively flavoured, textured and generous- this is a wine for food. Best with grilled or roasted meats but also good with strong cheeses after dinner when you want to put your feet up."
