"DATE: 07-18-08 Appearance: Salmon / cranberry.
Nose: Quite fruity, cherry/plum/strawberry.
Palate: Off-dry with good acidity, midweight. Big flavoured dryish rose followed the nose, but shows a pleasant mineral austerity on the midpalate and light tannins on the long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: This is a food rose that just might do well on the terrace, chilled. But I'd like it with a stir fry, alfresco. Could age this 2-3 years but why bother when it tastes good now?" lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"This off-dry rosé combines the amiable characteristics of a Gamay Noir with the refreshing dry aspects of a white wine. Ripe red berry fruit aromas reminiscent of cherries, raspberries and strawberries abound here. Served slightly chilled it is a tasty accompaniment to light vegetarian meals, Sunday brunch and most fish and chicken dishes. Great on the patio or poolside."
