wine chemistry at work Tech Information: 04-13-07 $ 13.00 (S: 0 A: 12.5) Winery

"DATE: 04-15-07 Appearance: Ruby.
Nose: Cran/blueberry, tobacco, light chocolate and some spiciness.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. An herbal quality is added to those advertised on the nose, with light tannins showing up midpalate and lasting through the good clean finish.
Conclusions: Not-quite-modern style of baco lacks the sweet oak of many modern entries, yet is softish and easily drinkable as it is. This is a general purpose wine that is best consumed by the end of 2009, quite precocious in nature. Not for the heaviest foods, not as rustic as many baco wines." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"100% Baco Noir. Delicious peppery notes with ripe dark berry fruit flavours and soft tannins. Baco's acidity always makes for food-friendly wine. A perfect barbeque wine option or a great match for pasta and tomato sauce."
