2006 Gewurztraminer Reserve

"DATE: 04-15-07 Appearance: Pale lemon with green tints.
Nose: Quite forward sweet gewurz aromatics of roses, lychee, apricot, mango and spices.
Palate: Off dry with moderate acidity, midweight plus. Good concentrated ripe fruit on the attack, richness and light ripe tannins midpalate (skin contact?). Long clean finish shows characteristic and desireable gewurzy bitterness.
Conclusions: Precocious high-quality gewurz that has a five year future. Very youthful at this point, yet is already developing complexity. Suitable to moderately flavoured spicy/hot foods already, and interesting by itself as well. Will get more so over the next few years." lfw
