LARDY'S WINETASTING NOTES Medium Bodied Red Wine
2006 Pinot Noir Reserve
Tech Information: 10-10-07 $ 20.00 (S: 0 A: ?) Winery

"DATE: 10-26-07 Appearance: Light ruby.
Nose: Sweet cherry, spicy and sweet oak, light strawberry notes.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Palate is more powerful than the nose would suggest, but follows it nicely, adding beetroot, ripe tannins and a still-austere finish that is long and clean and quite dry.
Conclusions: Young pinot with the ability to age for eight to ten years in a good cellar, this will put on weight, gain complexity and become silky with age. Not showing it's stuff yet, best now with rare cuts of good red meat, or with cheese trays. Worth the wait (will show its stuff in three to four years)." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Aromas of red cherries, warm spices and earthy notes, flavours of cherries, black tea, dark chocolate make way for a long full-bodied finish. 9 months in a combination of French Oak barrels. Age 5 - 7 years."
