"DATE: 07-07-08 Appearance: Light lemon.
Nose: Citrusy/peachy nose with a bit of pink grapefruit, lightly spicy/floral.
Palate: Off dry with good acidity, light to midweight. Light in body only, not flavour (lower alcohol is perfectly in balance with the flavours). Palate nicely follows the nose, adding a zesty refreshing character on the midpalate, nicely structured for the long haul. Great long clean drying finish.
Conclusions: Wonderful all-around wine shows the versatility of riesling - this is as good by itself on a hot summer day as it would be on the table with a very wide array of foods. This could go up to ten years in a good cellar, but will certainly develop riesling Petrol character." lfw
