"DATE: 08-21-09 Appearance: Ruby.
Nose: Cherry berry with light spicy oak and some attractive earthy notes.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Palate follows the nose, adding raspberry and pepper to the dusty tannins on the midpalate. Finish is very good, long, clean and dry.
Conclusions: Excellent example of a red hybrid producing an excellent wine in a lean year. This could go eight or nine years, and is best at this youthful stage with red meats or dishes with tomato / acid. Excellent potential here for an extremely interesting wine about 2012." lfw
