LARDY'S WINETASTING NOTES Dry Fruity White Wine
2007 Muscat
Tech Information: 09-09-08 $ 19.99
(S: dry A: 12.2) Winery

"DATE: 11-19-08 Appearance: Lemon.
Nose: Intense tropical fruit, spicy, herbal and floral.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Palate follows the nose nicely, with elegant tropical flavours on the attack. Midpalate is silky and rich, with enough concentration of fruit to convince you that there is sweetness (it is not sugar). Finish is very long, clean and dry with a spicy aftertaste.
Conclusions: The more I taste this variety the more I like it(Yeccchhhhh wine snobs run like hell this is LABRUSCA!!!) Wonderful spicy flavours would not only stand up to the local Nova Scotia foods but also do well battling a spicy big turkey dinner. Should go three or four years (I'm guessing, no experience cellaring this) and I suspect flavours will be bigger as it develops. This wine has superb acid/fruit/alcohol/spice balance." lfw
