"DATE: 08-27-07 RETASTED 01-01-08 holding nicely. Appearance: Garnet.
Nose: Raspberry, cherry, light oak and an herbal character.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Palate follows the nose nicely, with moderately rich mouthfeel and a long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Very nice modern style cab merlot for general purposes. Should last up to five or six years, but is already in prime time. Quite enjoyable drink-me-now wine." lfw

Man that's one big bottle!!FOOD MATCHES: Chef Franklin said "rich and intense. Have at the end of a meal with sharp aged farmers cheddars or maybe with a flourless chocolate cake that you didn’t scrimp with the bittersweet chocolate."

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"An equal blend of cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc, aged separately for a year and blended before bottling. This wine brings out the best in both varietals and our winemakers believes that it is greater than the sum of its parts. The nose is spicy with hints of coffee bean, cedar and vanilla. The palate is soft, with cherry and cassis fruit. Well integrated tannins, smooth and appealing. Drink now or cellar for up to 5 years. Will pair will with flavourful meats but is smooth enough for sipping."
