"DATE: 12-30-07 Appearance: Straw.
Nose: Baked apple, light tropical fruit, spicy oak and buttery notes.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Big fruity attack exceeds the nose, with rich buttery/oak/vanilla notes showing midpalate, soft and big mouthfeel, nice light tannins on the long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Great example of the midrange of chardonnay (neither unoaked nor heavily oaked), this is an elegant style which could age well for up to eight years, getting heftier and funkier as it ages. I can detect the beginnings of that great vegetal character that great chard develops in time." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Our first estate chardonnay is truly elegant - clean and very lightly oaked with subtle yellow fruits on the palate. A great aperitif, with summer salads or delicate seafood."
