"DATE: RETASTED 09-09-08 Nine months have made this wine develop more into the pattern of good pinot, and the pepper on the finish is even more prominent and lovely. On course! 01-01-08 Appearance: Light ruby with touches of candy apple red.
Nose: Cherry, strawberry, light oak and mineral touches, inviting and interesting.
Palate: Dry with good to fresh acidity, light to midweight. Palate nicely follows the nose with some silkiness and softness on the midpalate, and a good clean dry peppery finish.
Conclusions: Easy to like gamay is a great social summer wine, or would work wherever you might use a dry rose (which essentially is what this is). In three years this may work itself into a state where it will taste like pinot noir, or it may not." lfw
