"RETASTED DEC 30 07 the nose has developed, becoming more tropical, otherwise the description holds. DATE: 08-28-07 Appearance: Straw.
Nose: Light pear, melon and mineral/floral aromatics.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, light to midweight. Very dry clean and citrusy attack leads to some silkiness on an otherwise austere midpalate, with a long squeaky clean very dry finish.
Conclusions: This is the antithesis of the modern wine. It is not soft, fat, easy or heavy in any way. Rather, it is the perfect wine for lighter white meat or seafood dishes. Should keep for three years. Quite a delightful product, the ideal aperitif." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"The Isabella vineyard Pinot Gris was released in May 2007. This estate wine has a lush apricot nose with hints of apple and is a lively example of our County terroir. An oppulent mouth feel and well balanced finsh makes it ideal for serving with spicy Asian dishes, or simple summer fruit tarts made with unsweetened custard."
