"DATE: 08-25-07 Appearance: Garnet with brick at the rim, maturing colour.
Nose: Complex maturing cab nose of leather, spicy oak, raspberry, cassis, peppers, light chocolate, quite inviting.
Palate: Dry with moderate to good acidity, midweight. Palate nicely follows the nose, with silkiness midpalate, and ripe dusty tannins adding to rich mouthfeel and a slight earthy component midpalate. Long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Great value in a maturing cab (I don't detect the influence of Zweigelt though it is listed in the blend). Still good for another five years in a good cellar, but into prime time now. Serious collectors should scoop up what remains of this wine, doubtless a holdover from ace winemaker Ray Cornell's years at this winery." lfw
