"RETASTED: 07-09-07 Appearance: Yellow gold.
Nose: If the nose is changed (see below) it is to be more concentrated, more buttery, richer.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, heavyweight. Flavours are softening a bit, but the description below still applies.
Conclusions: I am gaining a newfound respect for the ageability of top quality Ontario chards. This is fully mature, and may hold another two or three years, but at $6.95 it is an absolute steal for those who like old mature chardonnay." lfw

"DATE: 05-25-03 Appearance: Yellow gold.
Nose: Rich oak overtones, spicy, woodsy, burnt toast. Wine also shows intense apple fruit with hints of pineapple and melon. Big nose.
Palate: Dry with age-softened acidity. Rich buttery and oak-driven spicy, woodsy character dominates at first. This fades as apple and pear fruit with subtle tropical overtones come forward midpalate. The finish shows some dry ripe tannins with good length and some of the funkier, yet-to-develop flavours showing at the very end.
Conclusions: A good barrel fermented chardonnay, mature now for most tastes, but capable of turning into a great wine to enjoy by itself on a cold winter night (say 2006). Fairly big, good wine." lfw
