"DATE: 07-14-07 Appearance: Garnet with mahogany forming at the edge.
Nose: Mature nose of peppers, cassis, raspberry, cherry, spicy oak and light chocolate.
Palate: Dry with moderate acidity, midweight. Palate nicely follows the nose, with dusty tannins and rich mouthfeel midpalate. Good long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: A steal at $8.95! This could indeed go another five years anyway, and is fighting well above its weight class. Try this with medium rare to medium meats, or for that matter with a flavourful roast of chicken." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"This wine is blend of 80% Cabernet Franc and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2000 vintage. A rich, aromatic, medium-bodied wine with a distinct ruby colour, and aromas of cedar and oak, and flavours of currants, smoke, black pepper and mesquite. A very versatile red, ideal with pizza, grilled meats and roast beef. Drink to 2015."
