"DATE: 08-27-07 Appearance: Deep ruby.
Nose: Raspberry, plum, sweet oak and some buttery/vanilla earthiness as well.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Big flavours follow the nose, adding some cassis, chocolate and coffee. Ripe tannins and rich mouthfeel midpalate with a long dry clean finish.
Conclusions: Capable of eight years in a good cellar. Would really work now with a rare steak, and in three years with a nice medium roast. " lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Aged in French and American oak barrels for 26 months, this wine has a deep ruby hue with a bouquet of cassis and field berries. With excellent structure and an extremely long finish this wine has flavours of currants and berries with hints of vanilla, toast and oak. This fine value Merlot is a good accompaniment to game meats, roasts and grilled red meats or enjoyed with a good friend! Available in the LCBO."
