"DATE: 07-13-07 Appearance: Straw.
Nose: Lovely tropical fruit, vanilla and butter, spicy oak and something citrusy.
Palate: Dry with moderate to good acidity, midweight plus. Rich soft fruit on the attack, spicy notes developing midpalate with silky tannins. Rich creamy mouthfeel, a little heat and a long clean flavourful finish.
Conclusions: Big elegant chardonnay for now or ten years from now. Ontario Chards of this calibre can age well much longer than most people suspect, developing rich and funky flavours (how old do you like your cheese?). Black tie dinner wine, would work well with cream sauces. Compare with any chardonnay at the same price from anywhere." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Bright straw yellow colour with a complex and lifted nose showing preserved lemon, quince, pineapple, cinnamon and clove. This is a full bodied chardonnay with an acidity that keeps the wine fresh and elegant. The preserved lemon and quince characters are also present on the palate and the wine finishes on a delicate crème caramel note."
