Nose: Ripe spicy/herbal nose of ripe sauvignon fruit with hints of spicy oak, peach, citrus and a mineral character.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Big fruit on the attack, with the richness of semillon nicely balancing the herbal flavours of the sauvignon blanc in this "White Bordeaux". Big midpalate, rich, soft, silky with light dusty tannins. Very long clean finish with just a bit of warmth.
Conclusions: Big white wine, probably capable of five to seven years aging despite the fact that Sauvignon Blanc wines rarely are ageworthy. This would be the perfect white to serve in black tie situations." lfw
