Peacefully at the Niagara-On-The-Lake Hospital on November 20, 2003 at the age of 81 years. Beloved husband of Ruth for 58 years. Cherished father of Sandra Hostetter. George was a life long employee of Brights Wine, and a member of the Order of Canada. He was one of the founders of the Grape and Wine Festival, and received many awards from the wine industry for his work in varietal selection. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.
Private arrangements have been entrusted to the NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES. Cremation will take place. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
