Comments from lfw: Frontenac Gris is a white mutation of Frontenac. Peter Hemstad told a good story about how it was almost lost on more than one occasion. Good thing it came through as it has great potential for a spicy white wine. By all reports it has all the same strengths and weaknesses as Frontenac, but with a different taste profile. It has the same profile in the vineyard as Frontenac by all accounts. Please feel free to send me information at littlefatwino@trytel.net for posting here.
