LARDY'S WINETASTING NOTES Medium Bodied Red Wine

2002 Cabernet Merlot
Tech Information: 04-29-07 $ 16.95 (S: 0 A: 12) Winery

"DATE: 04-29-07 Appearance: Ruby.
Nose: Cassis, raspberry, peppers, cherry, light spicy oak, a mineral character.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Add some dusty tannins midpalate and a hint of warmth on the good long clean finish.
Conclusions: Nicely maturing still youthful cab merlot with yet another four or five years in front of it from a good vintage. Try this one now with that medium-rare steak off the bbq, and watch the tannins melt into the meat, making a well-matched mouthful. Or with a gourmet burger." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"A rich, medium bodied red wine exhibiting aromas of plush berries with distinct cherry and plum flavours. This wine is well structured with a hint of oak and soft tannins on the lingering finish.
Perfect with beef, pork, lamb or red pasta sauces."
