"DATE: 03-23-07 Appearance: Ruby.
Nose: Anise, sweet oak, light chocolate, spicy character as well as dark berries.
Palate: Dry with soft acidity, midweight plus. Berry flavours on the attack, with dark chocolate, sweet oak and ripe tannins on midpalate. Long clean finish shows spiciness.
Conclusions: A good example of the developing Ontario fruit-forward style of Syrah/Shiraz. could be aged another 3-5 years but is tasting pretty good right now. Use with red meats, and it may work really well with bbq foods as well." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Medium-bodied with a deep, ruby colour having blackberry, licorice and currant flavours with a black peppery finish. Pair with spicy Cajun and barbecue dishes."
