"DATE: 08-12-08 Appearance: Ruby with mahogany at the rim.
Nose: Raspberry, plum, spicy oak and herbal notes.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. There is a sweetness that is not due to sugar (extract-driven). The midpalate is silky with dusty tannins, and the finish is long, clean and dry.
Conclusions: Nicely maturing Franc still has three or four years in front of it, and is ready for prime dishes already. It is also interesting enough to stand alone in social situations. Another good example of Cab Franc succeeding in Ontario." lfw
