"DATE: 10-26-07 Appearance: Ruby with light brick at the rim.
Nose: Plum, cherry, cassis, sweet oak, light chocolate, peppers and that particular syrah rubberiness that most love (not me!).
Palate: Dryish with good acidity, heavyweight. Big wine follows the nose, adding balanced tannin/alcohol and fruit and rich mouthfeel midpalate. Good clean long finish.
Conclusions: This kind of wine makes me wish I liked Syrah, because this is a very good example. Still with many years in front of it, starting to show what it is capable of." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"FULL FLAVORED AND PROPERLY BALANCED, THIS COMPLEX WINE EXHIBITS LOTS OF FORWARD FRUIT. CHERRY AND CASSIS ON THE NOSE, FOLLOWING THROUGH TO THE PALATE WITH A SILKY SOFT PEPPER NOTE. SWEET WELL-INTEGRATED TANNINS, AND SMOOTH FRUIT FINISH."
