"DATE: 08-12-08 Appearance: Deep ruby with the slightest signs of browning at the rim.
Nose: Rich Cab Franc nose showing raspberry, black cherry, red pepper, sweet and spicy oak, some chocolate, nice herbal and mineral notes as well. Fascinating nose on its way to exciting.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Big Franc follows the nose with an equally complex palate. Midpalate is silky and rich, with ripe tannins. Finish is very long, complex, dry and clean.
Conclusions: A great franc heading for the next eight years or more. This is the stuff of black tie dinners, one of the best Francs I can remember." lfw
