"DATE: 08-25-07 Appearance: Light straw.
Nose: Rich baked apple, a pleasant vegetal character, spicy oak, butter/vanilla and a lemony mineral character.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Bigger on the palate than the nose suggests (but a big nose at that!). Big buttery/oaky chardonnay has great acid/alcohol/fruit balance, richness midpalate and a long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Rich style of chardonnay, and good value at that. Ripe fruit and (probably) new oak have given this the heft to last ten years. This is the wine for that black tie dinner with a moderately heavy cream sauce. Or to drink alone for those who love the oaked style of chardonnay. Nicely done." lfw

Man that's one big bottle!!FOOD MATCHES: Chef Franklin said "big oaky monster, you want a wine that can handle the salt-cured anchovy, parmesan and roasted garlic of a contempory ceasar salad? Here it is. Also for brined and planked salmon, char or trout, maybe with smoky grilled lobster or shrimps and butter."

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"THIS TRIPLE OAKED CHARDONNAY SAW NOT ONLY FRENCH, BUT ALSO AMERICAN AND HUNGARIAN OAK. IT DISPLAYS TROPICAL AND CITRUS FLAVOURS ON THE NOSE ALONG WITH CARAMEL, AND TOFFEE GIVING IT A WARM TOASTINESS ON THE FINISH. THIS FULL BODIED CHARDONNAY WILL COMPLIMENT CREAMY PASTA, VANILLA BEAN RISOTTO, RICH POULTRY DISHES, AND AGED CHEDDARS."
