"DATE: 04-15-07 Appearance: Ruby, good depth of colour for gamay.
Nose: Strawberries, sweet cherries and mild spices (pepper), with a bit of spicy oak.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Big gamay has great fruit (add some cran/raspberry to the nose) and has dusty tannins which show midpalate. Finish is long and clean.
Conclusions: This high-quality gamay is destined to become pinot-ish with another two years in a good cellar, and is getting complex already. Nice peppery wine to go with flavourful foods from the bbq." lfw
