"DATE: 08-12-08 Appearance: Pale lemon.
Nose: Peach, melon, mineral and light floral notes.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Good body on the attack, palate is bigger than the nose but follows it nicely. Light astringency on the midpalate with some richness as well, and a good clean long dry finish showing just a hint of that nice ripe Gris bitterness on the aftertaste (almost gewurzy).
Conclusions: More flavour than you would normally expect from this variety, but 2007 was a sunny ripe year and Kacaba typically puts a lot of bang in the bottle for the buck. This should go three years, and would work very well at the table except with hot spicy or powerfully flavoured foods." lfw
