"DATE: 17-03-08 Appearance: Deep ruby.
Nose: Blackcurrant with sweet cherry and dark plum notes, some spiciness.
Palate: Medium sweet with good acidity, heavyweight. Big flavours follow the nose, with youthful astringency and some heat dominating the midpalate and long clean finish.
Conclusions: Still a little youthful, needs four or five years to mellow completely, will hold ten years past that. Nice now with strongly flavourful cheeses, not really Port-like but a very interesting product." lfw
