"DATE: 03-01-08 Appearance: Ruby.
Nose: Raspberry, cassis, plum, sweet oak, cedar, bits of leather and chocolate, some spiciness. Quite complex and intrigueing, a bit precocious, smells more mature than it is.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Palate nicely follows the nose, adding some dusty tannins and cherry midpalate. Soft rich midpalate, clean throughout with a long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Excellent Cab Merlot for now or five years from now, well made, excellent value. New World, modern style of wine is very competitive compared to anything on the LCBO shelves. Neither light nor over the top, very versatile wine at the table." lfw
