THIS IS THE SECOND YEAR OF COMMERCIAL GRAPE WINES GROWN & MADE IN PETERBOROUGH AND THE KAWARTHAS!
wine chemistry at work Tech Information: 17-03-08 $ 11.80 (S: 0 A: 12) Winery

"DATE: 17-03-08 Appearance: Deep ruby.
Nose: Cherry, vanilla, spiciness and an earthy quality. Beginnings of light chocolate as well.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Palate is more austere than the nose (youthful yet) though the balance of acid/fruit/alcohol seems good. Clean dusty tannins midpalate and on the long clean finish.
Conclusions: Could go three to five years in a good cellar, building flavour enroute. Good now as a serious alternative to Valpolicella, Cotes du Rhone or Cab/Shiraz blends at the table. Think in terms of hamburgers, not rare beef." lfw
