"DATE: 06-02-07 Appearance: Ruby with brick developing at the rim.
Nose: Cherry, strawberry, beet, spicy oak and bits of earthiness developing, rich and inviting.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight (good size for pinot). Palate nicely follows the nose, with richness and softness midpalate. Silky feeling is starting to build, quite nice. Clean dusty tannins on the long dry finish.
Conclusions: Developing quite nicely since last tasted late 2005. Still has four or five years in front of it, coming along very nicely. Rich style pinot - not quite the size of the 1998, but this is a good wine in a similar vein, trading more fruit for the weight. Ready for prime time and will hold - give a couple of bottles a home and try with a black tie dinner in 2010." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"This is a barrel aged, full-bodied Burgundy style Pinot Noir. Clean and fresh in character with a spicy, smoky, black cherry jam nose and a slight hidden touch of licorice. Good firm weight with nice cherry, spicy, smoky vanilla flavours.

Food Pairing
