"DATE: 03-23-07 Appearance: Cherry/ruby.
Nose: Light cherry/strawberry aromatics.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, light to midweight. Sweet fruit (not sugar) comes through on the attack, leading to some spiciness and light oak midpalate, adding raspberry fruit as well. The finish is long and clean.
Conclusions: Konzelmann's non-reserve Pinot has for years exhibited light character when young, developing a silky richness as it ages. Drink now as you would Valpolicella or a good Beaujolais, or cellar for five years and be pleasantly surprised with a richer and more complex wine than you'd think possible right now." lfw
