"DATE: 03-23-07 Appearance: Pale lemon.
Nose: Peach/apricot, a slatey-steely mineral character, honey and light spice.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, light to midweight. An austere type of riesling, palate is less evident than the nose at this point which to me suggests ageability. Dry from beginning to end, quite clean, no richness or fatness at any point. Finish lasts a long time, last flavours (citrusy) are quite pleasant and worth the wait.
Conclusions: Great example of lean long-term riesling won't strut it's stuff for another three years, and could last until 2020, developing rich flavours later in life. For now, this is an excellent companion to less strongly flavoured white meats, or for use as an aperitif. I really like this style, but it is an acquired taste in a modern market that places such a premium on fat-and-easy-drinking libations." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Delicate floral notes, aromas of peach and apricot with a lively zing of lemon lime on the finish."
