"DATE: 06-02-07 Appearance: Purple.
Nose: Clean plum/cherry/cassis with smoky oak, light chocolate and pepper.
Palate: Dry with moderate acidity, midweight plus. Big fruit on the palate which nicely follows the nose. Ripe tannins midpalate, rich mouthfeel, good long clean finish.
Conclusions: Great bang for the buck, this could go five years easily, maybe eight. Just starting to show its paces now. Quite useful at the table, chill just slightly if serving outdoors." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Ruby/Purple in colour this young wine displays developed characteristics of spiced plum cake, cherries and dried basil with underlying oak on the nose. The palate is quite dry with well balanced fruit and acidity and a firm tannic backbone. Decant to drink now or cellar to further develop. Pair with lean beef dishes, or mildly spicy dishes."
