"DATE: 08-18-07 Appearance: Dark purple.
Nose: Black cherry, raspberry, blackberry, spicy oak, cigarbox and chocolate.
Palate: Medium sweet with good acidity, heavyweight. Big palate follows the nose nicely, with ripe dusty tannins, big mouthfeel, long clean finish with a dark chocolate aftertaste. Nicely balanced alcohol/sugar/acid/fruit.
Conclusions: Very ageworthy product - at least ten years - will slowly mellow and soften into a complex but easy-to-love sipper. Would work best now with blue cheeses or, for those so inclined, a cigar." lfw
