"DATE: 08-27-07 Appearance: Light straw.
Nose: Baked apple with buttery/doughy/vanilla overtones and some spiciness.
Palate: Dryish with good acidity, midweight. Palate nicely follows the nose with some richness midpalate, and light spicy notes on the long clean finish.
Conclusions: Very good value straightforward chard would be a good choice as a wedding wine. Not for long keeping or strongly flavoured meals, very useful otherwise." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Colour: Rich yellow
Nose: Aromas of vanilla and toffee
Flavour: This chardonnay offers a pleasant Sur-Lie bouquet, it is light complex with a mosaic of groves, butter, honey and ripe lemons. A slight floral note, creamy and full middle palate with clean fruit flavours, finishes with a young full finish.

Food Pairings: Chicken, prawns, seared scallops, provolone, gruyere, feta cheese and parmesan. It will also stand up to heavier cream sauces and pasta dishes quite well."
