"DATE: 09-09-08 Appearance: Somewhere between ruby and cranberry.
Nose: Cherry, plum, strawberry and a mineral character.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, light to midweight. Palate nicely follows the nose, with fruit foremost from beginning to the very clean dry finish .
Conclusions: Modeled on the French Passetoutgrains (Burgundian blend of Gamay and Pinot) this would be a great social wine, or work with most bbq foods. Drink by 2011." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Gamay/Pinot Noir blend, with nice cherry fruit from the Gamay while the Pinot adds body. Lovely summer aperitif, can even be served lightly chilled. Very food friendly with barbecues or any spicy dishes. Can be cellared to 2010."
