"04-30-04 Appearance: Purple.
Nose: Hints of pear drop, light spice, bits of tobacco, something slightly earthy (positively so), a "sweetness" or "ripeness", quite different, attractive and inviting.
Palate: Dry with good acidity. Midweight. Good clean finish.
Conclusions: An excellent wine for anything with tomato paste. Think of this as a substitute for really good Beaujolais or Valpolicella (it does not taste the same, but it has similar weight and structure and general utility. Foch can with a year or four in the bottle turn into very interesting wine." lfw


FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Vin rouge produit avec un assemblage de Maréchal Foch et Sainte-Croix. Vin aux arômes puissants de fruits rouges dont le goût évolue vers une note vanillée et boisée. Ce vin présente une excellente capacité de vieillissement. Vin riche et intense.

Suggestions : tournedos au poivre, viandes sautées en sauce, volailles rôties et parfumées, viandes de gibier et fromage relevés.

Température de service : 16 à 18 °C.

Durée de conservation : 5 ans et plus.
